Age Of Speed

In the past, precision, deliberation and schedules were important.  The past was an age of inefficient communications.  It was not felt because everyone was participating in the mass inefficiency of the day.

Many businesses are still operating this way and getting passed quickly.  It can be felt when trying to do business with customers and partners on a daily basis.  The inefficiency of internal communications has been accepted as status quo, much less with with those outside an organization.

We are in the age of speed.  Projects are modular, rapid and interdependent on various people, information and systems.  Getting things done requires both a fluidity of movement and a clarity of execution, especially with multiple parties.  In the age of speed, people are in front of a computer or out in the field.  Neither situation matters.  An agile business is able to manage calendars, people, communications and information quickly and seamlessly across thresholds which were once full of friction.

In a Google Apps environment, getting things done with personal data which needs to become collaborative quickly is intrinsic to the system.  Access, control and security for an organization requires the agility of the cloud architecture Google Apps is built on.  We want to move fast, get things done and collaborate in a seamless way.  This is part of the success organizations around the country are experiencing when leveraging cloud systems in a strategic way.  It’s continually changing the ecosystem we are all having to keep up with.
