Search By Dates In Gmail

With Google’s search engine overlaid on your Google Apps mail application, there are a variety of ways to effectively search your emails.  To search by date, note the convention for searching using Google’s search box:

  1. For emails after a date use “after:YYYY/MM/DD”
  2. For emails before a date use “before:YYYY/MM/DD”

You can use both inside the search box as follows to return a result of emails between a specific date range:

after:2007/03/15 before:2010/02/15

Use this convention to find or narrow in on specific emails you are seeking.
