I am a systems and process person. If you set up good systems and process, then execution becomes easier.
While we may have an unprecedented amount of computer and software systems that are accessible to us today, this still leaves the problem of execution. Putting the pieces together and consistently executing is difficult.
For example, if you want to create more content which connects, if your system is not SEO optimized and easy to get in and out of, it creates friction. These obstacles have an effect on your daily motivation on whether to write or publish.
If you are always thinking of how to make things easier then you can remove the steps which impede your execution. It takes active engagement. More options naturally lend themselves to creating increased complexity.
Want to get more things done? Keep observing your systems and process. Keep refining them to get them to the bare minimum of what is needed and get on with delivering. Otherwise, you may end up more in the tool business than the execution business.
What do you notice stops you from getting some things done?
