With SXSW in town, there’s a lot of get togethers. I had a good time connecting with people from all over at a recent happy hour put together by GotoMeeting. Had a few celebrities in the crowd. The most interesting and engaging person I connected with was AJ Leon from NYC (@ajleon). He was real, kind and professional. He carried himself the way I coach my kids to be with people – make others feel important, look them in the eye and care. Very refreshing walking away from the conversation.
What caught my eye was his logo on his Chucks. My boy loves Chucks and it attracted my eye:
He is living out his business and life passionately at misfit-inc.com with his wife. They work from their laptops anywhere while having traveled to 40 countries in the last year. Digital nomads.
His story pulled me in and energized me. I appreciated his candor, energy and humility. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I am inspired to be more of a misfit. Thanks, AJ, for living fully and blazing paths.
