Fully Engaged – Be All There

Focus
Wherever you are, be all there. From Yorick's Flickr photostream.

With all the distractions today, it’s easy to get off track from what is important. Moments are fleeting every day with the people we love and the opportunities that matter.

I try and live by a mantra – “Wherever you are, be all there.” It requires full engagement of all my senses. If I am talking to a person, this means turning off the noise in my head or the demands I feel and try to be an engaged leader.

When I am working, I try and get things done with a high level of intentionality. Anything less is just mediocre effort.

Its harder to live this way. It means expending much more attention and focus. However, the rewards are great. I’m fully living and connecting with people rather than just drifting through life.

How about yourself? Are you feeling fully engaged?
