It’s Cool Serving Others Today

What are you thankful for in your business? From Nakeva's Flickr photostream.

With Thanksgiving coming up, we are mindful of the many blessings and cool things that make it possible to do great work. The world is continuing to change rapidly and taking pause for our place in it as well as the opportunities for all of us is good. Here are some things we are grateful for that make our business fun:

  • Cloud systems. I heard from several clients after Hurricane Sandy that were continuing to run because of cloud computing systems we set up for them. We run our business in the cloud and it allows for continuity, reach, collaboration and speed. It is great to be living today with the internet as our computer.
  • Mastery rises to the top. There are illusions of do-it-yourself approaches, however, the difference between good and great is still immense. It takes talent to deliver high powered marketing. We continue to see a rift between the wannabe’s and those that truly pay the price in time and hard work to become the best. It’s great to live in a meritocracy, especially one that is getting ever more competitive.
  • Gimmicks and cons don’t work. We work hard at our craft of building marketing systems that truly connect, get attention and lead a buyer to want to buy. There are no guarantees. We are thankful that search engines squeeze out gimmicks and pure salesmen without substance go by the wayside over time. Getting found, building an audience and connecting takes strategies that work and involve commitment. That’s right up our alley.
  • Great clients who show gratitude. Working with clients that get it and work as a true partner is pure pleasure for us. It motivates us to continue elevating our game and helping those that we consider friends.

There truly is so much to be thankful for and when we reflect on the connection between the work we do and how it makes a difference, it is greatly rewarding.
