I enjoyed some time reviewing notes on my iPad today and soaking in some books I have been reading. When I travel, there is always the work to attend to for clients, but I also find time to squeeze in time meeting new people and getting lost in great books. It is a source of relaxation and restoration for me. The problems of the world seem smaller during those times.
I am handing out some copies of my book, ZeroInbox, at a speech tomorrow for some of the attendees. I love giving the gift of reading to others and it’s always a privilege to share my own work with the world. Ironically, this book is about achieving peace of mind from productivity strategies I have learned over the years.

Freeing up time and just enjoying thinking and learning never gets old for me. The challenge is always trying to intentionally carve out that time.
I am not sure life works real smoothly to allow for blatant vacations. But in those little nooks and crannies we can all take advantage of, there’s always an opportunity to get a little peace of mind.
How are you finding those spaces?
