Using Twitter to Share and Express Gratitude

I do believe that gratitude is powerful, profitable and contagious. Recognizing the moments and the people that make a difference in your life will help you realize the right perspective of how you become successful.

Here’s a quick way of developing a habit that you can use with Twitter and sharing and recording your gratitude.

  1. Capture your gratitude on your Twitter. Be sure to have Twitter on your iPhone to capture in the moment.
  2. Use the hashtag #gratitude to invite others monitoring this stream.
  3. When you are grateful for a person, mention them in the tweet. i.e., #Grateful for working with @DonDalrymple.

You can add further layers and ways to integrate this into other systems, processes and approaches. But it is a quick way to input your gratitude in the moment and then share it.

Furthermore, you can grow your network this way on Twitter as well as invite people into your Twitter following by collaborating and encouraging each other to share a #gratitude stream.

This creates a journal in effect where  you can review the past and see your progress. There’s something about seeing your #gratitude stream/journal and realizing how fortunate and lucky you are.

The thing I like is that my mind focuses on the positive and keeps an eye out for things to be grateful for. Try it out and make it a habit. Watch your life and work grow from it.
