What to Do

For anyone trying to discern what to do with their life: PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU PAY ATTENTION TO. That’s pretty much all the info you need. – Amy Krouse Rosenthal

With over 20 million unemployed from the COVID-19 crisis, the decks have been shuffling hard for both employers and employees.

The last thing you want to do is disengage. A new strategy by thinking through what you clearly want or can offer the world must emerge.

A great place to start is to pay attention to what you pay attention to. That’s a compass towards where you like to spend your energy and time.

The hard part of turning your attention to cash is the strategic thinking. And the best places to get clearer are:

  • Long walks
  • Pen and paper alone with your thoughts
  • Conversations with those that are further down the road from you

It is heartbreaking to see the economy get roiled. But, it is an opportunity to double down and create a better path. There’s a lot of opportunity now that things are resetting by being tipped over.

If you need some help, connect with me. It’s likely the most important next step in this uncertainty.
