I am the President of AscendWorks, LLC, a company I co-founded in 2005 that helps organizations with marketing and sales systems and improving business processes. My clients range from small businesses to enterprise companies that are seeking strategy consulting to grow their business. I enjoy the process of working with business leaders and entrepreneurs to help them clarify their vision and bring it into reality. I like making ideas happen and building something of lasting value with a return on investment.
I write on leadership, productivity, marketing, entrepreneurship and various other topics in business. My goal is to provide valuable resources and strategies from my experiences and knowledge to help my readers grow their own businesses and lead others well.
Who I Am
My career and expertise has developed from time in technology, software, startups, sales and marketing. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. I enjoyed the rigor of engineering. Not only were the problems difficult and complex, they taught me how to define problems and solve them. I apply this daily to business problems now.
After some time at Xerox, I found I really enjoyed the faster pace of software startups. I worked in sales and marketing leadership roles and enjoyed the challenge of designing systems to drive revenue. Making ideas happen and creating marketing and sales processes and systems was fun and challenging.
I started my company, AscendWorks, to serve customers with what I found to be a common business problem – increasing revenue and productivity. Our team has worked on many different business problems to help our clients in their various markets around the world. It continues to be one of my primary areas of focus.

On A Personal Note
I enjoy running, reading, writing, tennis, snowboarding, mountain biking, backpacking, a little occasional golf and spending time with my wife and three kids. Hanging out around Austin on the trails and in the city is one of my favorite pastimes.
