One Touch Productivity

The stream of content is continuous. Try to save your attention and engage.

Here’s a simple tip for the day. It takes some discipline and a habit that forces you to do what your internal resistance does not want to do.

In fact, while it is simple, it is hard, especially because of our struggle to focus and apply attention.

Try the one touch productivity approach. When you open an email, read an article or have to engage with any kind of content that comes your way, stop, focus and engage.

The reason you open that email so many times is that you are not fully engaging and making a decision.

Sure there might be some things you have to defer, but make that an intentional decision with a place for your content. This is owning your information rather than letting it overwhelm you. More of those tips are in my ZeroInbox book to elaborate.

The point here is just to touch things once. Turn on your brain for the 30 seconds to focus. This way you don’t spend time and little stresses thinking about something you could otherwise deal with.

Let me know how it works for you.
